I hit a pot hole today and managed to buckle the passenger side front and reat alloys to a point where the car does not drive correctly, taken the wheels off and both have a flat spot with a bulge on the inside of each rim.

Has anyone else done the same thing ? can the wheels be repaired or do I have to buy new ones ?

Anyone that has knowledge on the matter please help !!

Cheers

Nathan

Don't think I'd trust a buckled rim that had been straightened! Stress fatigue could lead to a failure just when the wheels are fully loaded and pitch you into the scenery! As Shimmy said, sue the council and get replacements!

My woman has just done the same in her E63. New wheel is £860 plus VAT.

Think I'm going to chunder.

Council shouldn't get away with it..... but they will.

Never repair a buckled wheel - it just isn't worth it. How comfortable would you feel travelling at over 100 MPH thinking to yourself "hhmmm... I wonder how well the garage repaired my wheel?"
If it let go and you ended up going backwards through a hedge..... on your roof........I expect you would have regretted not spending that extra £300 - £500 on brand new wheels. Get your wallet out, then sleep easy.

CSL wheels are cheap anyway... £250 a corner.

Buy a new one, DO NOT repair it.
