Been looking thru the ads for a CSL and with some cars a spare steering wheel is supplied or they have had theirs changed? What the reason behind this? Does the alcantra wear out?

Bit confused about this so would appreciate some light on this! Thanks!

They can get a bit grubby, and the alcantara can 'bobble'. How much depends on how they're used and how sweaty the drivers have been!

You actualy get a better feel/grip with the 'bobble', but saying that I got mine changed under warranty.

No need to change when 'bobbled' anyway - just give it a shave

It's when they get grimey that they're a bit minging (mine does in the 9.15 position), but a regular clean helps with that.

I bought a cheapo rechargeable shaver to shave my steering wheel! I just use warm water to clean it and give it a damn good rub. It looks and feels like new once I've done it.
