Normal shoes...

Car was fabulous at Silverstone, initially I had found it hard to get the setup right on this car but I was much happier this week. We softened the rear a little and gave it a touch more camber at the back and now the car is a peach.

Very pleased...

The track pic is Brands yes... not trying to be clever but that was the only pic I had to hand. The others are from the Mclaren garage at Silverstone.

I've got some great action pics to post up but no time resize and host right now.

Can't help myself... so thought I would post a couple more pics.

The debate now is how far I go with this latest project - for me one of the biggest drawbacks for the car now is the inability to fit harnesses to the seats for track work. But harnesses require a cage and this is a major step. If I was to go this route I would do it properly and have a nice job done but ultimately I think it still impacts the value of a relatively rare car. So the question is whether I say who cares it is my car (and the money isn't an issue) and do it anyhow ... OR ... I start looking in earnest for a GT3RS (996, LHD out of Germany) and save myself the grief (plus if I sell my CSL for 30ish and had budgeted 10k for a cage/fitting/seats/harnesses then I am not a million miles away anyway.

Thoughts....

I think the answers in your head.

By that I mean I think you know what car you want next!

I think now a cage in the CSL wouldnt be a problem as more and more wil be track cars as the years go by. The cage will by some be seen as a good extra.

But I think you want the Porker>..............

So is it rears on the back as well or is it a straight front to back swap? or 4 rear wheels?

I think the car looks fab, beautifully presented, subtle graphics. I am thinking about a colour change for my track wheels, problem is my CSL is black.....So obviously black wheels would work although I think black wheels look good with the polished perimeter like you see on some GT3's, or white? Any other suggestions anyone?

Personally I wouldn't go for black.... sure it would go but frankly a little dull.

Colour choice for me was tricky... as there is little that goes well with the colour of my car. I was all set on orange but the gf persuaded me to go for this colour and on this occasion she was absolutely correct.

Black... well although you will be accused of imitating a GT3RS I would have to say orange would look awesome.
