Service interval is based on usage (anything up to 16,000 miles careful usage less if ragged) or 2 years whichever is the first.

I suspect you will probably end up doing every 2 years as these have become collectors cars and less frequently used.

Thanks Pip. I presume inspection 1 and 2 would be pointless if not many miles are being done and oil change should suffice?

I am with you on that (oil and filter). I asked something along those line on the CSL Register a few years ago and most were adamant that the service schedule was adhered to (for value purposes I assume). I was not as specific in my question as you though.

I do not really see the point of changing plugs etc if you have only done 3,000 miles. I think I am due an Insp I or II but am away and will make a decision on how far to go on my return.

I am in the same position. It has been almost 6 years since the inspection 2, but the car has only done 5k road miles since then. I have changed the oil every 2 years, and ran some compression tests a couple of years ago so the plugs have been out.

I was under the impression that the inspection 1 and 2 services are mileage based. If this is correct (???) then there will be long gaps.

They are mileage based although to be more accurate usage over those miles ie if you do a launch control very time you go out there will be more wear and tear and therefore reflected by the service coming up sooner. If you just pootle around and cover only 3,000 miles eevery year then you need to service it every two years.

So which ever comes up first.
