Notice BMW alluding to future new CSL models. Maybe room for a M2CSL for BMW's 100th anniversary next year?

I have the order form to prove it! They took £500 and have guaranteed me a car if I have one allocated.

Well they can't guarantee anything if it doesn't exist. I'm assuming a dealer will happily take money off customers for a model that hasnt been announced and may never be announced but £500 seems a very small deposit for such a prestigious car.

Perhaps it's just me being sceptical and hope it is announced and you get a slot, the E46 CSL was and still is a dream car even though I owned one, the gearbox ruined the ownership for me but on looks and sound alone, BMW have yet to surpass it even now!

Dealers shouldn't be taking money at this stage. I'm top of the list for one at a BMW main dealer and I haven't put any cash down yet. Once it's announced, I'll be asked for £1k to secure my slot and then I'll have to commit to buy.

Can you share the dealer details please. I have asked the dealer where i put mu deposit for M2, but they said they have no info from BMW about M2 CSL.

Any idea about the price?

Cheers,
Sajin

I've been considering putting a deposit down for this. However I spoke to a dealer this morning who was at an M event recently, he had word personally from the Head of M Division that the M2 CSL will not be happening.

Every other dealer I've spoken to is quite happy to take my £1000 deposit. What do we think? Are BMW bluffing to maximise sales of the M2? Or is there genuinely no CSL/GTS on the cards?

Still think/hope it's going to happen, the M2 has much room for improvement to make it a full blown M car (mirrors, oil temp, etc, etc) on top of any CSL trinkets to add, plus I'm sure they are a planning another halo car for their centenary, just don't know what. The 2 series concept revealed recently could pave the way?

As far as rushing out to place a deposit, I would forget it, that's not how BMW allocate halo cars. Each interested customer will be vetted, largely out of your dealerships hands.

Let's hope it happens and Good Luck!

I did fear this. As I've never owned an M car, is that likely to rule me out entirely?
