Sadly it's missing it's first run in service, only receipt is for one at 4,000 miles.
While I understand the issue with this I'm wondering if any issues will have surfaced by now.
I'm also concerned about the potential chassis issue because any remedial work done in Australia is 4x as expensive as the UK. E.G. the work would be around 10K worth here!
Here's what the seller had to say when I asked about first service and subframe issues:
Yes it has been imported from the UK. It was initially purchased 29/07/2003. I have a cm high paper record of the cars history from initial purchase until now. I question if it is 100% complete history as the earliest service record I can find is at 4014mls. I don't have evidence of a running-in inspection at 1200mls. The car was brought into Australia Jan 2009 and was replaced by a Porsche 911 GT3, when I purchased it June 2010.
I have brought it up from Sydney to Cairns. It has been serviced by the local BMW team, with me changing the oil and filter at the half way point between inspections in order to keep the engine in peak condition.
The sub-frame hasn't been repaired. There have been no cracks when BMW have checked it, and there are no cracks as of tonight, when I clambered under the car and checked.
