Anyone able to put a realistic value on a 9000 mile csl, in mint condition?

Not what Hexagon want for it. Considering you wouldn't be able to drive it, for the fear of astronomical depreciation, the market is very small. I can't imagine there are too many collectors out there.

To drive it, its worth £40k

Check out the prices in Germany. A resident there said one just sold for €70k. The cars appear cheap here.

Find another as a comparable, with the correct service history (done on time, not mileage), being sold by a main dealer with full AUC warranty.

It'll sell.

Bit cheap @ 40.

Nick Johnson had a 9.5k mile car back in March this year - had the standard M3 wheels (not CSL rims), needed tidying, no warranty, tyres 10 years old (need replacing) and had never been serviced. He sold it immediately @ £40k and confessed it was too cheap - could of sold it 5x over. I'd say shims answer is closer than yours.

Thanks

The OP did say MINT CONDITION 9k miles and I'll guarantee a well sold CSL (silver grey only) would fetch £50k+

I'm getting my info second hand, but I'm told that there are some deadly deadly serious collectors out there . Not sure if they would chase the csl as hard as the sport evos,
When I got a spin in it several years ago it was stunning, and I'm lead to believe it is much better now.

How much did it sell for ?
How many owners did this have in total ?
Did it make the asking price ?

And it was a bit of a dog. spoke to the fella at length, various question marks regarding history, replacement engine fitted by him in his shed etc etc. Wouldnt have gone near it.
This is an unfair post and one you should remove. You never viewed the car.

The car is 10 years old and had full service history with main dealers and then specialists all documented with all MOT's. I replaced the engine out of choice as its something I am capable of doing and have done several times in the past. I have a really nice 'shed' thank you!

I gave an accurate description of the car and the fact it sold to the first viewer says a lot. The one mistake was wasting my time dealing with you I guess.

Serious questions here,

Why was it a "Dog"
Can you explain in a little more detail please?

IMO I would say an owner with the correct tools and knowledge would likely take more care and attention working on their own car than some mechanic (certainly the ones in ABZ anyway) who just sees it as a 10yr old M3.

What was the shed like? does it have all the kit required to carry out such a task?
Can you list the question marks with the history? I understand it will probably not qualify for warranty but there's more than one CSL in that situation.

What are the ect etc's? Can you elaborate on them a little further please?

The owner says you never viewed the car, I take it you had someone local, the RAC or the likes do this for you?

Very interested to know your reasoning behind these comments.

Thanks,
Paul.

Being in the market myself, some CSL buyers have some very high expectations of 10 year old cars, even for rare ones such as these.

In my opinion, a service missed by a few months is not a valid reason to disregard an otherwise mint car.

yes Do they car about the E30 M3, Porsche 964RS as much?

I'd like a FSH, but if it is a keeper, would be happy to consider all cars that seem good.
