Hi guys,

Ive just sold my E46 M3 in favor of a winter run about, but next year i am looking at getting a CSL/E92 M3. I have been to BMW and tried the E92 and loved it, but now that I'm going to have a spare winter run about, I'm now thinking the CSL is a much more viable purchase.

Is there any CSL owners in Scotland that would be willing to have a chat about their owner ship and let me have a look at their car (an more importantly hear it), to better ascertain the options I will want when I come to buy.

I have seen a few CSLs local to me (Perth) but never in a situation where I had time for a chat.

If you do have one and are happy to meet up send me a PM or email me.

Cheers

Get onto CSL register. There are at least a couple on there.

CSL register is the place to be.

If the engine rattles leave it where it is or make sure its cheap/fixed.
The interior will likely show wear on the bolster and the steering wheel so don't be scared of that as its no big deal but looks scruffy.
Decent options to look for are Air Con, CD Radio, Xenons and Park Assist.

A brake upgrade on the front is attractive as pushing hard on the standard ones doesn't work out well after a while. Some people go all the way and upgrade brakes, suspension and exhaust (see thorny motorsport for prices etc.

Ive got a CSL just now. Its not going to be as slick and tasty as a V8 m3. BUT the power, handling and noise is what's keeping the values up and that's important as you lose 1000's a year on the v8 whether you use it or not.
Another bonus is that its cheap(ish) road tax.
