e92 M3 Notchy First Gear

Just a quickie. Does anyone else find that selecting first is a little tricky/ notchy? Car is a manual 57 plater 15k miles.

17k miles - 57 plate. Agree, mine does feel notchy. I've got used to it and I'm a while away from the next service, unsure it's a problem on the horizon or a "characteristic".

14K - 57 Plate. Yup, mines the same and thought something was wrong at first. You just get used to it after a while. When they first came out a few magazine journos siad the box was a bit notchy when cold.

Same with the E46. It's the same box, I think.

I had a manual 06 330i M sport, the gearbox was notchy in 1st and 2nd from new. I took it back to the dealer when it was 6 months old and they fitted a new gearbox. This improved things a bit, but it was never right.

I didn't realise how bad it was until after I hired some crappy Citroen in Europe. I got back into mine at the airport and would have preferred to be in the Citroen. This has put me right of manual beemers.

Thought I had an issuse on the horizon.
Have to say Im loving the car alot more than I expected.

Only thing else that bugs me is the 6FL ipod connection. It keeps jumping back to fm radio. Anyone had this fixed?
