Probably high on the list of "world's dumbest questions", but can ISOFIX be retrofitted? And if so is it expensive?

Mulling an E60 M5 and noticed one or two had ISOFIX listed and the other's didn't.

I can't see how it could be retrofitted without taking out the seats and doing some welding.

I'm pretty sure though that all E60s have ISOFIX in the rear.

Just been to BMW site and looked up new M5... ISOFIX certainly seems to be standard on new M5s.

The joys of being a parent.

you should find e60 has it as standard - unlike the e39 m5 which i have.

Easy to check if you call/look at one, but it's not something people think about putting into an advert.

ISOFIX is standard in the rear on the M5. I can confirm that from having checked my order form.

ta - yeah I have the E39 at the minute too, which has ISOFIX fitted. Even though I could get away without it I'd prefer any replacement to have it.
