M3 e46 Not running worth a F***!!!
Discussion
Ive had my 2002 M3 e46 for over 2 yrs now and its never missed a beat untill the other day. The oil light was on and i knew i was required to top up the oil, which i was about to do the wkend up and coming, but on the way home my pride and joy started juddering hellishly even more so when gave it a bit more boot, on this happening the engine light alite (exhaust emision values have deteriorated). When i got home i straight away topped her up with oil and let her run idle for a while but she is still not sounding 100%.
I was wondering if any other M3 enthusiast have an opinion wots up????
Mean while i have booked her in for a service and MOT (which is due on the 25th) next week. Thats the earliest the garage can do both, i hate waiting
!!! I guess its the push bike till then, lol!!!

I have just checked with the garage i bought her from and they replaced the Lambda sensor just after i bought her, 55k was on her when it was replaced, now she has 64k, surely not after only 9k??? They say ur spose to get 30k-50k out of the sensors. Is there one after the Cat also?? It was the one b4 the Cat that was replaced!
I guess ill find out when she's plug in to the diagnostics!

Scary,"...... started juddering hellishly even more so when gave it a bit more boot"
mate, this is a high performance engine,
1) you should never let it get to the point the oil light comes on (unless of course there is a problem and its consuming large amounts of oil)
2) "booting it" when the oil lights on? - see the manual - when the oil light comes on, you STOP, end of
Really wishing you the best that you havent done serious damage here
Tell the garage the the full details above and I hope they you sorted without too much cost
