E36 M3 Throttle cable replacement

Anyone had experience of this, I'd like to give it a go, it's showing signs of wear!

I'd be interested as well, had a quote from thorney motorsport of £19.99 for a new one + Fitting. (if i remember correctly)

Mine is quite badly frayed and looks like it needs replacing

Spoke to guy at stealers and he said its quite an involved job as you have to pass cable trough quite inaccessible parts of the car. dunno whether he was just preparing me for a nasty quote for labour tho!

Think this is about a 20 minute job. Take off panel above throttle pedal, undo link, pass carefuly through bulkhead, cut tie wraps under bonnet and remove......reverse to install!! Just about to do mine

Not done mine yet...found it wasnt the cable but the throttle rail itself, so lube it and all good in the hood now! Hope you got yours done okay?
