Had my heart set on a TVR T350 until I went out in one last week and realised I could barely get into it, well I could get in but not without literally scraping my head through the rather small opening made when opening the door. I was also really underwhelmed with the detailing and quality. Basically I was gutted.

Anyway, I think the Z4MC is about as close as I'm going to get to the experience, with decent build quality thrown in and with an engine that sounds and goes as well.

My only concern is whether it will be too small for me. I'm 6'1" and (ahem) medium build. I'm going to have a sit in one at a local Beemer dealer to see what they are like but I'm interested in hearing from those of you who have had the T350 as well as a Z4 coupe. Is the Z4 easier to live with and importantly - enter and exit.

Thanks !

Shouldn't have any problem mate, I'm 6'3 and fit fine.

I followed a 350 home tonight and it did sound superb, just not quite as practical as the Z.

its a little tricky to get in and out of, but as for fitting you should be fine.

Yeah, It's got a lot of room. I'm 6'3 and there is still room when I have my helmet on.

I'm chuffed. Went to the local BMW dealer and they had a Z4MC in stock and they let me sit in it. The door frame is higher than I expected and the bubble top gives loads of headroom inside. Seating position also comfy with loads of room. Just feels good.

So it's going to be a Z4MC ! Now to hit the classifieds... I want a white one.

ive had a T350,very nice it was too.
I love TVR's(had 4)and would have another but i remember the Z4c being launched and thinking it looked alot like my T350 at the time.
The M realy is on a par with the Tiv but without the potential pitfalls. All my TVR's have been good 'uns though.
i think you'll like the M4.

Deposit down on a white on with 28k miles... Roll on next weekend. Praying that the weather will last. Rather a spontaneous decision.

It's a 56 plate so quite an early one. Hasn't got satnav though this is what the TomTom is for ! Just need to find some anthracite alloys to set it off nicely.

Has anyone got experience of A1 BMW in Knebworth ? Probably the nearest indy to me.

You'll love the Z4M, it's a stunning car, especially in the coupe form.

Just selling my 08, if only I didn't need a 4 seat car I'd be keeping it for a long time smile

TBH I have 2 cars and it's not to costly to run. One's a beater which does all ma trips to the supermarket and some work days, picks up all the dings and scrapes..
