Hi all,

what sort of temps do you see when running at prolonged high speeds in the M3 E46?

Is 95/100 right for this (say 30 mins at *cough* motorway speeds?)

That sounds about right. Mine usually sits at about 80-90 at normal "lane 3 of M40" speeds. smile

lol the old M40 between Biscester & Junction for M42.... seems to be that even the slow lane is a healthy 90mph... That said the M4 when clear ish is usually moving at a healthy mid 80's in the slow lane - both examples with middle and outer lane passing at a far higher rate of knotts.

Sod that - M40 & M4 always seems to be fun at the just shy of 100mph & most people outside of rush hour seem to be doing these speeds so your going with he flow of traffic yet still you get idiots ast these speeds within inches of you bumper.

I know what you're saying WB. Many people seem at odds with leaving a suitable gap between themselves and the car infront, even at 90+.

My front end on my M3 is peppered in stonechips from the recent resurfacing/surface dressing that they've put down on the M40, so I'm not that happy with the whole M40 commute. Still, at least it's not the M25, M6 or M4. biggrin
