Hi

My car M3 E46 02 plate has just failed its MOT and requires two rear suspension springs, has anybody had the same problem and if so what would they recommend?
Thanks
Glen

If the mileage is below 60k you can try and get goodwill from BMW - not that its expensive anyhow.

Had exactly same problem. If you have fBMWsh call up your stealer and ask for goodwill , in my case they covered the parts and I paid the labour. I think Eibach springs will lower the car so then you should lower the front too...

My rear drivers side just went too, they were £67 a spring and take 15 minutes a side to do.

Jacked the car up, wheel off, used a bar to prise it open and the spring just falls out, push new one in, wheel back on and away you go.

yes
Really stupid question - but I always thought you had to get the spring correctly tensioned ?

No, but on some cars you need to tension the spring to get it back in.
