Pick up my E92 M3 coupe today with the complimentary 7 day insurance cover.
I haven't rang for any quotes yet and was hoping some of you guys can point me in the right direction? I would prefer somewhere which doesn't insist on a tracker being fitted.
I am 41 with full no claims, have a pub in the Peak District and the car will be in the garage overnight. Anyone have any idea what I should be paying? Got a quote from BMW insurance as I set up the free 7 day insurance and that was £813 but must have a tracker fitted.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Mark.

A Manning were good for me on the M6 and cover track days in case you're that way inclined.

Actually also found the 7 day cover provider, NU, were very competitive themselves.

I used one of the compare sites (I know, I know) a couple of months ago and came up with £1500 for a 26 year old in Norfolk, garaged, no tracker, clean licence and one vandalism claim in the last 5 years.

I checked Tesco compare the other day and the cheapest was £2500!! Has insurance really gone up that much in a couple of months?

MORETHAN was cheapest for me 760, 35, London, street parker, with tracker Full NCB. would love it to be cheaper but seemed okay for a 250 excess policy.

try Adrian Flux. They always beat any quote you get! They're performance car specialists.

I thought so too until I changed my car details. I'm with A-Plan underwritten by NU, would you believe they charged me more than £70 just the other day when I changed from my 2006 Aston V8 Vantage to a 2009 M3 Saloon and that was to the end of my current policy which is up in May!!

I'm looking forward to receiving the renewal quote.

Rang for some quotes which were coming in at £900-£1000 then decided to go on confused.com. Put the details in etc and clicked the search for quote, Morethan came up with £328.15 with a £350 excess, rang them up and everything checks out, all the car details are correct, is this for real?

Try Liverpool Victoria, they have provided competitive price over last few years with excellent service.

Anyone here insured one with a DCT gearbox? Every insurer i've spoken to doesn't have it listed on their system.

What an amazing deal, I reckon the MoreThan computer was having a funny turn. Well done you.

Quoted £299 Fully Comp with protected NCD and £350 excess by More Than - verified by phone, since it seemed too good to be true. However, when I asked what impact a change to Eisenmann Sport exhaust might have (since this is the plan), More Than said that they couldn't quote for anything other than straight like for like replacement and the policy would be invalid, i.e. they wouldn't be able to quote/cover at all. Have, therefore, gone with Adrian Flux. Slightly higher premium but policy covers for Eisenmann replacement as well as Legal Protection and 90 Days use in Europe (neither of which were included in the More Than quote).

Therefore, More Than is an excellent deal but watch out for the modification pit-fall. Sounds obvious, I know, but I hadn't imagined that they would decline outright to provide cover.
