Just been on the BMW used car website.

They have no less than thirty seven February 2009 delivery mileage M3 saloons for sale.

All are on 'YE58' plates, so look like they've been registered by BMW(GB), and have decent specs.

Twenty seven of them are less than £40,000, three are listed as POA and the rest are from £40-42,000.

Given the specs, that's a saving of £10-15,000 over the new price.

Nope, but I do fancy fitting the 2009 rear light clusters on mine. They do look a little nicer, I wonder how much they are?!!

new nav/I-drive isn't out here yet but will be soon I'd wager. Together with the facelift rear lights.

I don't think we can easily fit the new shape lights to ours because it would need the new boot lid as well.

BMW do sell 'blackline' rear lights for ours though which are greyed out compared to the overly red standard clusters smile

Yes you're right. Didn't notice the shape had changed slightly.

Edit...it's the orange indicator section I don't particularly like.

Didn't realise they were MY2008 cars, although I think I could live with it for £15,000 off the new price.

I also didn't realise that BMW stockpiled M cars, I thought they were all built to order, or are these cars likely to be cancelled orders due to the current financial climate.

I heard that factories basically set out how many cars they will build for the year and then build them regardless. If the build slots are not taken up then they have a spec allocated to them and they are then foisted onto BMW UK to dispose of. Hence if you have a look they almost all have -exactly- the same spec, all of them (including mine) missing heated seats rage

Just had a look at the black line clusters. I think they are a definite improvement so have ordered a set - £165inc.

There seem to be a lot of the 'almost new' M3s on the BMW AUC with this interior. I really don't understand when they build for stock / as managment cars to sell on in a few thousand miles why they do so with such an interior which is an acquired taste to say the least.
