If it is from the pedal, a quick squirt of lube on the pivot sorts it.
The rubber bushing can perish, it can be replaced but if you're feeling like adventure you can get a non perishing one...almost like a 'powerflex' bushing for the clutch pedal. LOL.

Yes. Thats what I used and it normally kept the annoying creak at bay for about a month or so.

Hope you are well mate!
You would probably be better with a light spray grease that goes on runny then sets in place. Will last longer as WD40 is very light and will dry up much quicker.
