E36 M3 best tyres for track?
Discussion
I'm looking for the best track rubber for my Evo saloon. It's a track-only car so I'm not looking for road rubber. Toyos would be high on my list but they're not exactly cheap. However, value-for-money is the most important thing so if they're the best by far then I'd go for them. I'm running 18s with 255 rear and 225 front (I know that many prefer to stay on 17s but I've experimented and the car is best for me on 18s). Any advice much appreciated.
I've been using these recently, have a lot of grip once warmed up. I used them at Knockhill last weekend in the wet, I couldn't believe how grippy they were.
Can't argue with the price either.

Just about to try R888s on mine, but have been using T1-Rs up to now - the best performing non-track tyre I've used so far.
Out of interest, how come you're not using the slicks?
I have been and they're great but I want a tyre that I can keep on when it's not possible to take two sets of wheels to the track. Also, I want something good for the 'Ring. Be interested to hear how the triple 8s go. I nearly bought some yesterday but baulked at the price I was given.Out of interest, how come you're not using the slicks?
