E46 SMG M3 -Which warranty and things to check on inspection

Just wondering if any of you have any experiences as regards to warranty companies? I'm looking at buying an SMG M3 and wondering who is best to go for. If it breaches name and shame policy on PH feel free to PM me!

Also any tips as to what to look for when inspecting/test driving? I've had a Z4 3.0 before so have some ideas but any advice would be much appreciated as this would be my first M-Division machine.

Common wear points are the rear trailing arm bushes and snapped springs. When test driving, give the car a good boot in second. If the bushes need doing you will feel the back end squirming as though it's got a mind of its own (very disconcerting and if it does it, you will feel it!). With the rear springs, just have a good look right up and down the length of them. It can be difficult to spot as I believe they can break towards the bottom/top.

Well I would avoid warrantywise for starters. I've bought awarranty from them and they wont even send me the paperwork. Not a good start!
