Heard there is something you can apply to the plastic and all becomes clear again

Is this true and anybody know what it's called?

that WON'T stop it fogging, rain x anti fog, washing up liquid will do the job just as well!

Is it fogging up due to moisture or is it fogging up due to age?

My old Tiv fogged up when there was water in the footwells... might be worth checking you have no leaks inside the cabin.

I bought it foggy then got it replaced 6 months ago £230 a la Main Dealer

I don't think it's due to moisture - maybe the elements

It's baffling me

If you mean the screen has become less clear rather than being misted-up then you should be able to polish it up. Wouldn't have thought a screen that new would need it though?
