S50 M Coupe Questions...
Discussion
Morning all,
I'm looking at a 2000 S50 M Coupe with 59k on the clock as my next car and first forray into the world of M Cars.
Can anyone tell me what the recommended servicing intervals for the S50 are?
Also is there any type of S50 buyers guide that someone might be able to point me to?
Many thanks in advance!

Servicing is as per the dash lights, about 10k / 1 year ish.
Watch the back end on these, they can have a mind of their own sometimes!
Serious performance, absoloute stonking acceleration.
Classic.
Get yourself over to www.z3mcoupe.com. All the information you would need is there.
Service intervals on the S50 are about 6k miles.

Hi.
I would highly recommend 1 of these cars I have 1 myself.
Servicing is not expensive if you find a good indy you can trust.
Now is a good time to buy as there a few bargains out there, do as much research as you can and join the z3m forum.
You wont be dissapointed if you get 1 they are pretty quick and are deffinetly going to be a future classic.

Should be around 7-9,000 between services, be suspicious if its much more.
See the forum as previously recommended. Don't be scared by the "watch it in the wet" brigade. Its a powerful car but will only misbehave if driven stupidly. I was initially scared but its fine as long as you give it some respect.

absolutely agree with DJski drove mine for 19months 22,000 miles, rain and shine, never let me down, regularly left at the airport for a few days, driven with respect *more fun as the rears get worn and it's a great individual looking car, although high speed the front end feels a little light, but you'll rarely worry about that

Thanks DJ, I'm not too concerned about the rear end in the wet, in fact I'm quite looking forward to it See the forum as previously recommended. Don't be scared by the "watch it in the wet" brigade. Thanks everyone else, I'm pretty close to heading south for a couple of test drives. One final question, has anyone every bought from Munich Legends? If so any feedback?

ML tend to split the BM community down the middle. They are expensive, but do know what they're doing with M cars and I would have no qualms buying a car from them (although it would be more expensive than a private obviously). I serviced my MCoupe there and was very happy with the service. They also helped get my car in Evo for the £20k BMW 1 series alternative group test.
In my experience, a very knowledgable and friendly bunch of car nuts.
i had a breadvan. 2000 W estoril blue. wished i hadnt sold it, munich legends bought it from me and a BMW E39 M5. good operators.
the breadvan was a hoot. seriously quick car. i recall a traffic light drag against 360 on the A34 in cheshire.the driver was astounded and a little miffed he couldnt shake it off. Thumbs up all round from me. i ran it for 18 months with very few issues.
would have another if i had the space to store it.

Has anyone had both a breadvan and an Evo (any variant)? What was best and why? I had an Evo conv, loved it, but always like the looks of the breadvan. I'm a baker, you see.
I test drove both extensively and purchased the Evo Vert. I found that on public roads the difference in performance was marginal and would only become apparent on a track day.The rear seats, marginal performance and ability to have the roof down won me over, well the girlfriend had her say as well

Be careful with the Verts though, their condition varies significantly and it's not that easy to find a mint one whereas the Breadvan's I drove were all very well kept.
