E34 M5 Bodykit removal
Discussion
I need to get the side mouldings off and it isn't quite as straight forward as I thought!
I have removed the plastic clips under the mouldings running along the car, but I can't see where it is held in place near the front and rear arches. Can anyone help?
I'm doing it so I can inspect any rust that may be there

I have a snap-on tool for removing hidden plastic trim clips.
Being "outside" on the car be patient as a couple will probably snap- they are the type that expand a little once pushed through a hole.
Off memory I think 6 clips each side at evenly spaced intervals, the area below the front wings is shaped to meet the wing and off memory there is a retaining screw behind the inner splash guards inside front wings and also retaining screw in front of the rear wheels.
The front of the sill cover (behind front wheel) will probably be full of dirt and crud too.

Cheers guys - I managed to remove all the underclips from the bottom, and everyting in the front arch but left the rears in tact as I didn't fancy snapping any - it allowed me to move the kit off far enough to have a good gander.
There was a lot of mud in the front arch/sill but no rust, so bonus! Front jacking point starting to go but everywhere else is fine - I can't believe there is no rust where there was a pile of well compacted damp crud. Good times!
