Currently debating on lowering my M3 slightly. Undecided if I will go for coilovers, or just springs. Does anyone have any images lowered on Bilstein springs 20/10mm on the OE 19'' rims? I would be going for BBS LM's at a later date but would like to see how it sits on the 'standard' wheels please!

Hi i used to have eibach springs on my car but then decided to go for KW3's after noticing that when i went to fit the eibach springs that one of the rear dampers had started to leak oil and thats from a 30k car!!!

The picture below shows the kw's adjusted just slightly past the midway height adjustment towards the lowest height hope that helps biggrin

I've got Eibach springs on mines and they are a little lower than standard but not noticable at all..

The ride is certainly a bit harder than the standard ones on other cars I test drove but to me these stiffer ones just add to the overall raw-ness and danger feeling of the car! biggrin

ETA: That car looks fantastic in that colour! cloud9

Its called dark chrome or some people call it shadow chrome!!!!

They are painted gloss black first then a chrome paint is spray carefully over the face of the wheel only (not on the sides of the spokes) , giving a two tone effect that also changes in different lights!!

The chrome is sprayed on very lightly so that the black shows through!!!

So the shade solely depends on how heavy the paint is applied!!

Below is the same finsh

The E39 M5 unfortunately has just been sold to a friend of a friend to invest some more money into my company !!
And i so miss it, it hurts badly!!!! ended up giving the car away for the price i sold it for due to the credit crunch frown

Spoke to my friend who knows the new owner of the car to find out how he is getting on with it the reply was "he is like a dog with two ccensoredck's at the moment"
