Been shopping around for insurance quotes ready for Friday for the M5..

Currently got it down to £678 via Onequote (Who I ask?!) and it is backed by Europa?

Anyone got any recommendations? A-PLAN quoted £799...

Cheers

I just end up phoning load each year as my renewal seems to always be 50% higher than the current premium. After searching around I get it for the same premium again, but know I'll have the same problem the following year.

I'm currently with LV, but their rates go up and down at random - although they don't care about SP points.

Last year was with Endsleigh who really screwed up my policy by forgetting my mods, then taking the price up 20% to include them - even though they confirmed it was their error when they checked the call tapes. If I'd had time to go through all the quotes again I would have dumped them, but a 'strongly worded' letter of complaint didn't even get a reply.

Run your details through Confused. Elephant and Esure normally come out cheapest for me - a lot cheaper than A-plan and other specialist insurers too.

I too usually get the cheapest 'estimated' quote via these comparison websites, but when you click through to confirm your details the prices tend to double by the final quote.

Chubb Masterpiece.

It's an M5, not a Kia Pride.

I'm with Aplan who bent over backwards to give me a good deal E34 M5 and E36 M3 modified track car for around £1k.
I will no longer touch Admiral group insurers (Admiral, Elephant and Bell) due to their ancient clauses, they tend to be cheaper for a reason.

Try Keith Michaels on 0845 337 3380. They did me a good price when I had my M5.

Good luck
