Those seats look like they've done 171k not 71k... something not right with that car.

Don't even recognise it as an M3 colour and though M3's were first launched in '94 with Evo's in '96??

Not an M3. Wrong exhaust, dodgy badge.

All wrong.

RAC check turns it up as a M3. Asides from the dodgy emblems and exhaust (which plenty kosher ones have anyway) there's nothing else that says it's not a M3. If you look at the binnacle you can make out the M logo.. that's a good job if it is a ringer...

ETA: those seat look fine to me.. 71k looks reasonable given their apparent condition.. On 2nd thoughts for that money it'd be worth a look...

That, my friends, will be in absolute tatters.

If indeed it is real.

You could spec any M3 in any colour you liked - I believe it was annotated as an 'individual'. The e36 M3's were in production build dates from '92.

May ben exported & then later brought back to UK?

The point I'm making is for around that money you could easily break it & make me.

Seams very cheap but i have seen a few 3.0 M3's for £2-2.5k so if he needs to sell £1700 could be a bargin and if it goes wrong in a big way the parts would fetch the best part of £1700.

Could be a scam with the millage and as someone must have recently put reasonably expencive wheels on it.

not really suprise 3.0 M3's are heading down to this sort of money as E46 M3 which are a better car than the E36 are breaking the £10K mark, and E36 M3 Evos can be found for £4K

I don't really see theres anyway for the E36 to go but down, not sure it will reach the classic status of the E30 were prices have started to go up, obviously a good example will also be worth more.

It's a scam, come on it's obvious.
It's about half the price of even a cheap 3.0. You could break it for more.
No phone contact and supposedly a dealer?
He's copied the advert of another car and he's just waiting for some mug to wire some money to him.

I reported several last week, how about a low mileage E46 M3 for less than £4.5k? Come on, even a CAT C is worth more.

a scam it could well be.
break for more than that price - certainly
half the price of even a cheap M3 however it is not

like it or not M3's seem to start at low £2k's now for tatty/early or if the seller needs a quick sale.
and there are always cheaper anomalies in the car market - the genuine 328i Sport i picked up 6 weeks ago for less than the kit alone is worth s/h is proof enough of that for me.

is this one a scam, well yes id say it probably is.
but to make such sweeping staements as you've made, well its probably not wise.

well done mroads for investigating that.Bloody scammers and this car looks quite a tired example and the seller still wants close to 4k.I think there is a limit to where a m car will depreciate to and i believe its around3k
But again feel these cars will come alive again in say 10 years and prices will start to rise when the tatty ones have dissapeared. And only the good ones left out there smileStill a hell of a lot of car for very little money smile
