just got round to fitting said CDV and very impressed, the reason I'm impressed is that I had fitted one to a 330ci sport many years ago without any improvement, think it was of questionable origin.

So why did I try again, well was advised to buy from Zeckhausen Racing as a superior tried and tested item.
It's made quick gear changes a pleasure as a lot of the harshness in the change has gone and the clutch take up feels instant apposed to the vague damped action with the factory valve fitted, which has renewed my interest in my car again.

The factory fit clutch system has "Clutch Delay valve it's not actually a valve, it reduces the internal bore of the hydralic pipe work over a set length this creates an added resistance for the purpose of giving a damped "Delayed" clutch action and offer some protection when dumping the clutch.
The replacement valve is full bore straight through puts you back in control quicker gear changes, nicer gear changes IMO

Gotcha, thanks. Probably no good on a SMG?
