Question re BMW Warranty?

Agreed E39s with warranty are like hens teeth now, I've just let the warranty lapse on mine because the cost is now prohibitive, but it should still be easy to find an E60 at reasonable money with extended warranty.
Most of the E60's I've seen have the extended warranty but have pretty much decided that the E39 will be the winner of this debate for now as it's a £15kish versus £28kish decision...Just the E46 M3 to discount and a buyer for mine then I'll be going shopping!!! Now what colour shall I have
If I was buying another E39 M5 I would buy a Silverstone one.
Mine is Carbon black, and while it's probably the car's best colour when its just been polished, at any other time I would say its the worst. It shows up dirt like nothing else, gets covered in swirls and every mark and blemish stands out like a sore thumb. You really have to constantly keep on top of it or it just starts to look tatty, so unless you're a car cleaning fanatic my advice would be to avoid Carbon black.

Someone over on mtorque was claiming that there's a new BMW warranty product, which started earlier this year, that you can take up an any time - without having to keep up the continuous warranty history. Although the website doesn't seem to make this clear.
Worth ringing them up to find out for sure, anyway
