How come there is only very few threads about the new M3??
Discussion
I've noticed that there are very little posts about the new M3...Nothing at all if we talk about latests performance uprates, tuning, mods.
I understand the car is still pretty ''new'' but it's already a few months the car in on the streets and i see very little interest in writing about it.
How come?

Either they don't have the time to pop in here because they are working too hard or don'thave much to say because its a tad dull as a car. Dominated by the engine but otherwise is goes un-noticed by the masses. Not the best drivers car and certainly not good value for money new. Wait for a few more months and hear the cries when sellers can't shift their cars and a CS or CSL appears in dealerships.
A used M5 would be more fun, a used M6 even better fun and an Alpina B5....don't tease me!!!

E92 owners can't afford internet access as well as depreciation.
Most of us Struggle thruETA - OP, don't forget that most people don't like to tinker and invalidate their BMW warranty, so I'd expect that to be the biggest reason why.

Sounds great at speed but visually there isn’t enough in it differentiate it between the 330i unlike the E46 and seems a tad dull.
But tbh I agree with the above that owners don’t want to loose warrantee and the inevitable further drop on selling it if modded.
If you can't tell the difference between a 330 and an M3,you need a little stronger prescription for those glasses my friend But tbh I agree with the above that owners don’t want to loose warrantee and the inevitable further drop on selling it if modded.
If you remember correctly Mr Pugsey (the bloke with the F430 AM V8 etc) tried to post on here about his DRIVING thoughts on his M3, whilst he still had it,and i enjoyed his reviews but in typical PH style people were only interested in the cars biggest downfall DEPRECIATION,because no other new daft engined car looses cash at the mo every thread goes the same way which is a shame because they are a brilliant piece of kit,but untill it is accepted in Net Nerd world of motoring me thinks most owners will enjoy it in silence

When I first read that I thought the best reply was 'cobblers'. But then I thought that was a bit rude and a more considered reply might be called for. Nope, right first time. Cobblers! A used M5 would be more fun, a used M6 even better fun and an Alpina B5....don't tease me!!!

one thing I can tell you is that the Alpina is less fun than the M5.A used M5 would be more fun, a used M6 even better fun and an Alpina B5....don't tease me!!!

I have the new M3 as a daily driver and i enjoy every moment i drive it, it looks great, it drives safe and it goes quick, with the plus that i have two nice seats in the back where sat my two children...
I only wanted to add a few mods to it: new sport cats (catback exhaust i have the 'race' einsemann, which is owesome), new air intake and some tuning...but it's difficult to find ideas and products around...and it seems there is also scarcity of interest in modding their cars to the M3 owners as well!

Dont worry the Lehman brothers will be selling there's in a few weeks, then more people will be driving them - then you might get a bit more input. I think the credit crunch might contribute to people in general holding of purchasing, plus there is better value for money buying an E46 when the 0 - 60 mph is the same as the new one!

Not much written about it as we're all too busy out there enjoying them.
It's an awesome bit of kit, and it's easy to forget just how good it is. Thinking I wanted to go back to 911 ownership, I had a Gen2 997 C2S PDK on loan from a dealer this weekend but it wasn't enough to tempt me out of the M3. I also took out a DCT M3 and expect the order to go in this weekend.
