Hi ya - so what mileage are you showing now that it's starting asking for a service? Mine's a year and a half old and had done nearly 15000 miles before telling me it needed an oil service...this is following the 1200 mile M Service of course. I was expecting it to be much sooner than that.

£350 is a joke, but all the time people pay it dealers will charge it.

could you use a specialist without invalidating the warranty?

And make the car unsaleable to every BMW dealer in the network if you wanted to sell it in the near future?

£200 is acceptable, £350 is a bit of a piss take

Based on half hours labour plus oil

Firstly, unless The Z4M is any different to any other BMW the oil only needs to be changed every 2yrs if the mileage on the computer is not reached, so I'm not sure what your trying to acheive having it done early

I paid just over £200 on an E60 M5 oil change - Sytner Maidenhead. Coopers in Reading wanted nearly £400!

Always worth phoning around the local dealers and asking for their best price to get your business...

Brake pads and fluid were done in Basingstoke
Oil in Maidenhead
Filters in Reading
Plugs in Hereford (I go past regularly!)

I always phone round the main dealers for everything and one of them will always roll over with a big discount.

Exactly! Anyway, the oil service cost me £170 and was quoted the same price from 3 local dealers.
