info needed on M6 running costs and issues
Discussion
hi guys and girls,
thinking of getting an M6 at the end of the year as prices are dropping like stones
i know it will be pretty costly to run but i dont mind as long as know what i've signed up for.
average services from a bmw main dealer- how much will they cost roughly. heard in excess of £1000 and thats with no major issues on the car.
would it be cheaper at a BMW specialist?
are there any reliability/warranty issues?
also can the car be tuned fairly simply? ie remap/exhaust (tubi perhaps)/ induction???
thanks guys and girls in advance

Hello.
Yes it will be a lot cheaper at a BMW specialist. Labour will be aout 50% but parts will cost the same. My local spec. hasn't had to work on an M5/M6 yet so I expect he would only be able to do 'average' repairs.
Exhausts are easy to come by and fit, DMS do a remap for the M5 - so presumably the M6.
Best advice is to take a look here -
