A couple of months ago i had a brake fluid change at the local main dealers.
When i collected the car, i noticed that there was a lot of travel in the pedal & contacted the dealer to report. I drove it for another couple of miles & the pedal firmed up (but still a little soft.
Since then i've sort of got used to it, though under heavy braking - in the dry - the front wheels will sometimes lokck up for 5 yards or so.

So, last weekend i'm changing the front pads & thought i would crack open the nipples to see if there was any air in there. Besides a couple of small bubbles there were some shiny metal particles flowing out. Quite a few.

Today the car went back to the same main dealer for an oil service & i mentioned the brake fluid particles.
Service has just called to say there are shiny metal particles in the fluid, possible from a broken ABS valve & that the whole brake system will need to be renewed (anything that has come into contact with the fluid.

I have the fully comp BMW extended warranty, so i'm not expecting a bill. (I hope)

Anyone heard of this before?
