Anyone know what works well on standard wheels, and thinking of getting some CSL Wheels soon...will they fit and how do they handle??

My mate has just bought one and we are all going to the ring in a couple of weeks, trouble is his tyres are crap some YOKO widowmakers and he don't trust e'm.

Breedgé-stone, as The Doctor says, RE050's are current crop. I have S-O3 Pole position on mine and they are great IMO, grippy and predictable in the wet, and have done 10K plus on rears and now down to the wear bars. The fronts will do another 10. The RE050 are apparently the upgrade for S-03s.

In the two years I had my Z3M Coupe, nothing beat Goodyear eagle f1's bang for buck!

Yup, try the Goodyear F1 Assymetrics. Big improvement in the wet compared to the RE050s.

Thanks fot the input, looks like my mate is going for the F1 asemetrics now.

Does anyone run CSL wheels on their Z3M and if so do they handle ok being 19" and lower profile?

Could be a definite advantage @ the ring yes
I know that it is a totally different animal but I was @ the Nordschleife a few months ago with my pal in his F1 shod Scooby and as is typical of the region, it was wet one minute, dry the next and sometimes both at different points of the ring but the tyres were truly impressive, so much so that I have just put a set on my Z4MC and although I have not yet covered many miles, they are shaping up well already.

It seems the RE050 are not the flavour of the month. I have heard good things about F1s. My S-03s were a vast improvement on the Pirellis, so maybe the next boots will be F1s, judging by the various post on here. I have some on the rear of my camper van and that never comes unstuck laugh

Michelin PS2s or F1s
I use PS2s on my M Roadster - over and over again but might try those asymetrics when I need 4 new tyres. Just dont mix tyres.

19" on a Z3 is pushing it. Its possible but will take a lot of work and still rub. I know a few people have tried, given up and sold the wheels on. I'd stick to 18" max and even then they may rub without adjustable suspension.
