Hi, im thinking about getting a induction kit for my Z3M (S50) but there seems to be many manufactures that supply uprated Air filters. Any recommendations would be appreciated. smile

Hi,

I am running with a Simota (grupeM replica) induction kit. Very well developed and actually produced measurable gains. Maybe try a post on zroadster, net or z3mcoupe.com. There are two forum sponsors on the latter who can supply these kits. IIRC they reatil at around £250.

I hope this helps

For the noise (and it really is all about the noise), you cant beat the DaveF kit.

Many have claimed performance gains, but in a 300+ bhp car you wont notice anyway.

The noise on the other hand is fabulous cloud9

I used to have a Simota which worked well, must be remapped to suit though to really get any gain.
If the budget stretches the ultimate is my current option, the MAC Motoren now fitted.....pics below. Needs a lot of setup up does give good gains & NOISE!!
Anyway good luck and can certainly vouch for the Simota.

That airbox works extremely well on the S50 engine but requires live remapping on both dyno and road to get the best from it.
