Black/Carbon wheels on M3??
Discussion
I'm thinking of getting my wheels powder coated black or carbon. They are the BMW 19s on a midnight blue(almost black) E46. Has anyone had this done? Would like to see some pictures if anyone has any or knows of any links. Any opinions on whether this would de-value the car?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all
I work next to lepsons and have seen the standard bmw 19" WHEELS painted in many colours and shades
and nothing matches the original diamond cut finish!!!
He is a picture of my M3 with real CSL's wheels painted by lepsons in shadow crome!!!
The finish can be painted from black to bright chrome with every shade between, as the wheels are paint black first then a light coat of chrome is layed over the top to achieve the desired shade and colour then the wheel is laquered and baked!!
Hope this helps
The finsh changes so much in different lights and looking down the ide of the car can look very like carbon and face on in the sun look straight chrome!!
Here is a link to you tube showing the wheels too!!

You need to check out some of the US sites for pics. I'd suggest starting with www.e46fanatics.com and checking out the showroom...
