How important is EDC as an option? If not specced, is the standard suspension setup too stiff for everyday driving? I thought it would be standard as, I believe, in the M5. Also, is the standard fit Hi-Fi any good?
Thanks

I don't have EDC and find the ride fine for everyday use with the 19's. The standard stereo is ok, but it doesn't handle bass very well. It turns a bit tinny the louder you have it. The USB link is worth having, but you have to pay another 50 if you want the cable to attach it to an ipod.
I don't use the heated seats. The front parking sensors and electric folding mirrors come in handy when parking on the street. The storage pack is value for money. Bluetooth telephone kit is good.
What options are you going to go for?

Thanks for the responses. Sorry for the tardy reply. Been away for the weekend. I'm currently looking at used as I'm positive there are deals to be done even though a BMW dealership was adiment the most I would get was a grand off the forcourt price (convieniently what they offered). The ideal spec I'm looking for is: 19s, Elcetric fold mirrors (I cannot believe this is not standard!), CD changer, USB interface and the professional Hi-Fi system. With regards to EDC, I understand there are 3 settings; comfort, normal and sport. Does anyone know how the non- EDC compares? (ie is the basic setup akin to 'sport mode' in EDC).
Just one more question, what does the extended storage give you over the standard spec?
Sorry for all the questions!
Thanks
Pete

Storage pack is cup holders and luggage storage net in the boot, which stops things rolling round in the boot very well. It's only £45.
I read somewhere that the suspension set up for a car without EDC is slightly harder than the normal setting of a car with EDC. My friend has EDC on his and when he has it on the hard setting he says its that hard that it skips on corners.
I wouldn't bother with the CD changer. I got the USB kit on mine, i then got an ipod especially and have transferred all my cds onto the ipod. It gave me an excuse to catch up to the ipod generation.

Good point about the CD changer!! Thanks for the information. Going to try and find EDC I think as it does seem worth it for track work. Once again, thanks a lot.
