m3 evo sunflower alloys.
Discussion
iv'e just bought an e36 318is coupe, and it's got some 17 inch m3 evo sunflower style alloys on it, im told genuine bought for 800 quid.
just wondering if anyone knows how to tell genuine from replicas. i assume they would have stamping on the inside. they seem genuine based on my research, deeper dishes on the rears, small m badges etc.
just wondering how much they'd be worth, as im not so keen on the looks of them. cheers.

Get the BMW part number from inside the wheels and then find out what 'style' they are on http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.dojust wondering if anyone knows how to tell genuine from replicas. i assume they would have stamping on the inside. they seem genuine based on my research, deeper dishes on the rears, small m badges etc.

Go to ebay and see what similar sets are selling for.
If they are genuine they're well worth keeping hold of, not too many of these sets around second hand, anyway, if they're genuine they will have the little "M" bages near the centre, actual centre caps should be BMW logos on a snap fit ring.
Sizes: rears should be 245/45/17, fronts should be 225/45/17.
I think the rims should be rear 8" and fronts 7.5". (bit hazy on this one but thats what i remember).

hi thanks for that. the front tyres are what you say, the rears are 235/40/17, and im pretty sure you can fit various tyre sizes on the rims looking at other forums, but based on what iv'e heard i think they are genuine, although i will check the numbers when i get a chance to take one off in the week.
they do have the little m logo, and centre caps, and are staggerd.
