M DCT on my M3 is generally great - smooth fast changes available in both auto and sequential, and an auto mode which really does work like a good auto. But today it misbehaved.
At 3,200 miles, took it to Bedford Autodrome. Obviously in sequential. Sometimes it refused to change down under braking (no, I was not trying to change down when the revs would have been too high, and the car was well balanced, and I gave it much more time than it normally needs, and I pulled the paddle several times - it was definitely refusing to change down, just sometimes). It would not change down until I got back on the power, when it behaved correctly again.
I have not experienced this on the road, and could not replicate it on the way home. I think that at Bedford it only started happening when everything was well warmed up.
I am wondering how I am going to persuade my dealer to identify the fault.
Has anyone else taken a DCT car on track yet? Any problems?
