No Conti Contact Sports left anywhere for e46 M3?
Discussion
These seem to list them at just over £150 each fitted.

Although, as everyone else has said, the PS2 are way better than the Conti SC1 - even if on my M5 there's only a little in it between the Michelin PS2 and Conti SC2, haven't tried the SC3s yet though.

I've been reading very good reviews on the Vredstein Ultra Sessanta XLs (or something like that).
Michelins are good but solely as a road car I'm very doubtful I'll see the added performance they give. Plus they wear pretty quickly.
To sweeten the deal, the Vredsteins are around £580 for 4 in M3 sizes.

Fitted a full set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas on my E46 M3CS around 7k miles ago and the initial impression was that the car rode slightly better and had less road noise compared to the old Michelins. My concern was that the initial cost saving (around £150 compared to PS2's if memory serves me right) might be offset by higher wear but I've still got 6mm on the rears and a bit more than that on the fronts; a fair bit of my driving has been dual carriageway and motorway of late - which has probably helped tyre wear - but even so that wear rate seems pretty reasonable to me!Michelins are good but solely as a road car I'm very doubtful I'll see the added performance they give. In summary, then, I think the Vredesteins are certainly worth considering. I don't disagree that PS2's are very good tyres but they cost a fair bit more and, for what it's worth, they also finished behind the Vredesteins in the EVO tyre test a few months back!
