M3 Evo power drop

Hi guys
I have a 100'000 mile 1998 M3 Evo
Assuming its running as it should.(not too sure yet picking it up in 5 days) What do you think the power should be?
I know its 321 standard but have no idea roughly where it will be now. Ill be gettin a diagnostic and rolling road on her within a week of picking it up

Hi Ryan ~ There are many who say that the EVO never makes the rated power but its usually people who 'only' have 3.0 M3s There is plenty of evidence on here, and http://www.bmwowner.com/forum/ of "properly maintained" stock EVOs and Mcoupes making 315+ Bhp.
EVO engine is rated at 321PS not 321Bhp ; there was a mistake in the UK handbook. 321PS = 316.6Bhp.
Properly maintained S50B32 engine includes having the valve clearances set correctly in addition to usual oil and Inspection services; the power drops when the clearances go out of tolerance and a 15-25 bhp power loss is common.
Clearances should be checked and adjusted at every Inspection 1 and 2 service, according to the handbook anyway and the work needs to be done on a stone cold engine. From what I understand this involves taking the car to the garage the day before the work is done and it appears there are many 'specialists' out there who neglect the work or don't have a clue how to do it correctly.
If you checkout the bmowner forum above there is a thread where several hundred rolling road results have been posted. Last week there was a guy who's totally standard EVO made 293 before and 317 after clearances done !!!
I'm going to get mine checked / adjusted in the next month or so and will have before and after info. to post. Car is a 74K mile EVO with some minor mods & remap and made 319 last time on RR.
List below might be helpful ~ IMHO they will sort clearances properly.

100k miles is nothing and about 20k miles below average which is good. Providing it has been well maintained and serviced regularly, and always warmed up properly for 10-15 mins before taking the revs over 3.5-4k, the power levels should be as they were from the factory. My old Golf VR6 had over 100k miles (about the same age as your car) and was making more than the factory quoted figure when it went on the rolling road. Sometimes a very low miler which has never been warmed up properly will have less power over the years compared to a car which has motorway miles.
