I'm looking at buying an M3 and have seen this car

http://www.imc-bmw.com/details.cfm?carID=219&I...

Does anyone have any thoughts on the sort of things I need to look out for on a car that's covered 63k - what sort of things are likely to go wrong and cost money?

Also, has anyone dealt with this company? Just wondered if they were a reputable bunch to buy from?

Thanks,

Chris

I bought mine off IMC and found them to be great. But have heard things before from others.

In my dealings with Independent (bought one, sold one), I have found David to be very approachable and helpful.

And when the car we bought developed a couple of minor niggles, he was extremely willing and efficient in getting the problem sorted - including supplying a courtesy car for a few days and reimbursing the fuel used in transporting my own vehicle from home to Aldermaston and back.

Yes, there was a slight misunderstanding with tax on my car due to the dodgy last owner, they happily paid for a years tax. Which was nice.

Thanks Charlie - I see you have an 03 M3. Any recommendations on things to look out for if I'm thinking of buying?

Check the running in service has been done on time, and that the gearbox is easy to use.

That car does not have nav and i would say is probably a bit to expensive for an 03.

Buy the best spec you can - makes it far easier on resell - especially for the budget you are looking at.
