Can anyone tell me if you can replace the individual"led" bulbs in this assembly? I have removed the unit and the four screws securing the back plate however there would apear to be a plastic "dowel" or it could be a screw covered in some form of sealent? or is it a throw away unit?confused If the bulbs can be replaced are they a standard size?

Yeah, finaly got unit apart, it is secured by 5 screws one being covered in black sealant. 6 of the led's had failed and I agree you cannot change them. I contacted Euro carparts for replacement cluster however they said their spoiler and replacement cluster is made by Hella and will not fit a genuine BMW spoiler, unless anyone knows different ? a trip to the local dealer is on the cards. Many thanks for your helpfrown

Are we talking about the rear boot mounted spoiler brake light that is standard issue on an e36 M3?

Replacing bulbs is easy!

I changed four of the bulbs in mine a couple of weeks ago. Very straightforward - the bulbs are avaiable from Halfords.
