I like the new EBC reds, but you may want to change your disks too re new pads along with fluids.

RS29's are the only option other than OEM worth considering IMO

some notes I have made from info on the forum, I have not tried either though
Pagid RS29s fast road w/ good bite from cold but squeal

Ferodo DS2500 no squeal, cheaper than Pagid

From experience, the Ferrodo DS2500's make for an ideal road pad. They are reasonably cheap and provide good stopping power with minimum fade. For track use however, they fall a little short.

Therefore, you are best to invest in a set of Pagid RS29's (as above). They are expensive but the stopping power is awesome. I have the RS42's at the moment and whilst they are phenominal, after 25 laps of the 'ring, they need replacing.

The RS29's are a harder compound and will last a lot longer.

Regardless, most high performance brake pads will squeel when cold.

If the car is used predominantly on the road then the standard BMW discs/pads will be ok-we have tried the equivalent red stuff but they seem to perform worse than the BMW/textar ones with more dust.

Have the brake fluid replaced with Motul 600,its synthetic and will give you a harder pedal-far better than dot4/5.

If you go on track alot then an AP kit would be a good move.
