I'm looking at a set of 19's for my E36 M3. I've been told the rear arches need to be rolled to fit 9.5 x 19's. Has anyone had it done? how much? I'm on the south coast.

I've got original motorsport 17 x 8.5 with 245 PS2's, but I'm looking at 19 x 9.5 Breyton's with 265's on the rear, my car has an Ibach pro kit so it's 35mm lower. I've found a body shop that will roll the rear arches for £50..!!! Nice

9.5j is bloody wide - are you sure you want to fit them? They'll seriously bugger the handling.

If your car is lowered (and let's be fair, it'll need to be) then I'd imagine you'll have to roll the arches.

Do you know what offset the wheels are?

If you want to ruin the ride and bugger the handling, then go ahead. IMO 19's look ridiculous on the E36.

Why not just stick with the OEM wheels?

Hello Tyrone, long time no seewink
I have 9" X 18" Compomotives on the rear of my e36 track car, ( which I have so far only used on track once in the two years of ownership, erhm redface ), with 265/35 X 18" tyres and I had to use a slide hammer to re shape the arches track side and then get my pals at the local body shop to make them look presentable again afterwards. I think that you will struggle to accommodate the proposed rims/tyres. The points already stated about hurting ride quality are indeed valid and maybe even more pertinent in your case being that road driving is your bag so to speak. I am interested to see how you get on mind as I am contemplating getting a set of M3 CS rims and if they can be made to fit the e36, I can use them on my Z4MC also, good luck thumbup

I here all the feedback on fitting 19's to an E36, has anyone had one and driven it with 19's to give the feedback or is it just opinions? The guy who wants to swap has them on his E36 and wants to put the car back to stock M3.

So I'm guessing it can be done, most of my driving is motorway with the occasional enthusiastic run on twisty B roady (GTWayne when is the next hoon!!!)The car is a fat convertible so the dynamic road holding is never going to be great.

I'm interested in anyone that has done it and the actual results from the change.

Drove an E36 on 19s, it rode and handled as badly as it looked ridiculous.

If you like the look then go for it - it really doesn't float my boat, but it's your car.

C'mon John, you know you want to.
