Problems fitting an OMP strut brace to a M3 Evo
Discussion
Guys,
Just lined up my strut brace... three holes line up ok. The problem is on the inside of each strut there is something in the way. On the N/S there is a welded hoop which is used to route a cable which goes into the throttle body. I obviously need to remove this, just use a hacksaw?
Otherside should be eaiser, there is just a bold threaded into the strut, doesn't look like it's used for anything. Safe to remove?
Gonna give it another go tomorrow morning, so if you can advise by then that would be great

Afternoon guys,
Got it to fit ok... juat a few slight mods needed.
The car seems more responsive turn rightt than left now... only slightly though and could be in my head. So how do I alter the strut bar? As far as I can tell, once it's on the car that's it you can't alter it. There is a thread at both ends of the strut, so turning it simply moves the strut bar closer or further away from a strut.... not tightening it up or have I completly missed something here?

I fitted this same brace and it's not as easy as it sounds. I had similar problems and it took a while to work it out. Regarding the screws on either end you have to screw them to the right length before fitting so that it's all nice and tight. The first brace I bought broke when I installed it so I know it's a pain in the neck. All on now though and it's a good brace. Enjoy.

Excellent, thanks for sharing advice. I'll try screwing them in one turn at a time and see if I can still get the 3 bolts to tighten in place (or rather still get the socket on them. G
