More E46 M3 Questions
Discussion
I've already bored everyone regarding whether to get a manual or smg version (still not decided) but I'm now looking at aesthetics! I have decided to get a silver grey (CSL colour) model with red leather and I would idealy like to create a CSL lookalike, I would love a CSL but cant quite stretch to it this year. Here are the questions:
1. Wheels - Are they a straight swap for the 19 inch original items and do they need spacing out?
2. Bottlid - The different boot lid looks awesome so I either want to track down an original (very difficult I imagine) or find a company that create the spoiler so it can be attched blended etc. Any advice?
3. Ride height - Is there a difference in the M3 and CSL ride heights?
4. Induction - Im aware that the CSL has a different air box, is there a similar item available that can be retro fitted and is it worth it?
Thanks for any help you may be able to give me. ( I have a Clio V6 for sale if anyone is interested in P/X http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/482916.htm )

Q1/ As soprano's reply, however look at the rest of the wheels from BBS, as CSL have been done to death, unless you have a CSL that is.
Q2/ Bootlids can be purchased from people such as CA Automotive, to give you a budget Purchase + Paint + Fitting + Comsumables £ 1,500.00 ( someone will say that it can be done for less)
Q3/ I don't Konw, but if you go on Mtorque site every time you see "CSL" in a post clik on this and you get a brief technical description of all M3's. It's very popular to fit Eibach springs that will give you the look that I think you are after, also try Army chief's e46 M3 resource site for very detailed technical info
Q4/ Yes they make a "VERY NICE" sound, will cost you a small, no large fortune and won't make any difference to your M3's performance.
Now go and buy one, don't worry about silly TV's, Sat-nav's and phone, you won't even notice they are there once your driving and you will want the window slightly open for at least the first month or two
PS you will want the silly TV's, Sat-nav's and phones when you come to move it on!!
