How far will the E36 M3 cars drop, this seems Ok its not an absolute dog ,are people getting
hit by the credit crunch ? This has to affect even the mint cars residuals surely??

I have been looking for a Good, straight un-molested 3.0 for a few months now, but prices are all over the place, I saw a 94L last week, pretty good, Guy wanted £5500. But thats now EVO country, There is a bumch of them on PH, AT and Ebay now. Good time to buy, if you find a good one.

I would have bought this, but it has no service history for the last 30k miles so I decided to look elsewhere. hit by the credit crunch ? This has to affect even the mint cars residuals surely??

I think people get a bit carried away with M3's its to drive & not an investment so as above .

A freind of mine sold his E46 M3 for £13K recently and it wasn't a bad car at all. With E46's selling for this sort of money and being a better car the price of Evo's falls and in turn this pushes down the price of the 3.0 M3's.
They seem to be following the same pattern as Porsche 944s. There were so many E36 - admittedly more than the 944 - that prices just keep going down, especially as so many become neglected by those who can afford the initial outlay but are unwilling or unable to invest in the upkeep. The upside is that, as good ones become increasingly rare, prices should start to stabilise.Whiters said:

I didn't think you could get an Avus Evo? Plus it doesn't have the digi climate control - I know not all Evos did, but most...and if you squint at the gearknob, it looks like a 5 speed ;o)
Your right there I think. N was the UK changeover year with the earliest Ns being 3.0. Avus was only available as an 'Individual' paint option on the Evo.
