How far will the E36 M3 cars drop, this seems Ok its not an absolute dog ,are people getting
hit by the credit crunch ? This has to affect even the mint cars residuals surely??

Shockingly cheap!

I sold a 98 vert 2 years back for £11.5k wonder what its worth now?

Also I have a mate selling his evo for £2900 coz it's got 165k on the clock.

Surely these are worth more in bits!?

A freind of mine sold his E46 M3 for £13K recently and it wasn't a bad car at all. With E46's selling for this sort of money and being a better car the price of Evo's falls and in turn this pushes down the price of the 3.0 M3's.

I have been looking for a Good, straight un-molested 3.0 for a few months now, but prices are all over the place, I saw a 94L last week, pretty good, Guy wanted £5500. But thats now EVO country, There is a bumch of them on PH, AT and Ebay now. Good time to buy, if you find a good one.

I sold a white E36 on here about 2 months ago. It wasn't perfect but it ran OK and the mechanicals were fine. An ideal track day toy. All I got was £2450!!!

I would have bought this, but it has no service history for the last 30k miles so I decided to look elsewhere.

To be honest Cat for around this sort of money I would'nt worry to much, have acar inspection on it ,if the report is OK ,why not ?

I think people get a bit carried away with M3's its to drive & not an investment so as above .

Fair point. I'm all for buying on condition, however I think come resale time, having history makes the car easier to sell. You can make your own mind up whether or not you think it adds value.

Mind you, I bought an EVO with fsh and the effing vanos died 2 days later ffs!

They seem to be following the same pattern as Porsche 944s. There were so many E36 - admittedly more than the 944 - that prices just keep going down, especially as so many become neglected by those who can afford the initial outlay but are unwilling or unable to invest in the upkeep. The upside is that, as good ones become increasingly rare, prices should start to stabilise.

Thats a good point, at some point there will be fewer, un-mollested examples around and should command a good price. Availabilty, fears about the economy, fuel prices seem to be driving the prices down at the moment. Problem now is sorting the wheat from the chaff

There are so many E36M3 Evo's that I would'nt hold my breath.

They are really nice cars to drive every day, have lots of fun in & (I feel ) very reliable, easy to maintain ,so at the moment I think all time performance bargain.

As an N reg I'd say that must be an Evo.

Waaaay too cheap at that money. Must be something wrong with it.

I didn't think you could get an Avus Evo? Plus it doesn't have the digi climate control - I know not all Evos did, but most...and if you squint at the gearknob, it looks like a 5 speed ;o)

Your right there I think. N was the UK changeover year with the earliest Ns being 3.0.

Avus was only available as an 'Individual' paint option on the Evo.
