Hi

I have a late spec 1990 e30 m3. with DTM airbox and dastek ecu, schrick cams, AC Schnitzer type1 split rims, Black leather Evo3 interior and Evo3 rear spoiler with Carbon Fibre flap.

I've had the car 2 years now and love it!

But it's my daily drive and lately it's only getting used for taking me to work frown

My wife has got a new job a mile from our home so we no longer need her car (Worth about £4k)
but will need a car from time to time (she's too scared to drive the m3!Lol)
So do I sell the car I love but am not getting what I want from it and put them money together with the sale of her car and buy something in the £17k region which she and I can both use?

It'd have to have 4 seat's and be fast! not too big (e39 m5 out of the question frown )
I'd like to stay BMW but not an e46 m3 as my best mate is getting one. but would have to be an M car ( I'm a snobby t**t!)

I do like other make cars but am not sure what would live upto the M3 experiance??

HELP!! frown

Keep the M3, lock it away if you must, that car is only going to increase in value and buy or lease a diesel 3 series of an Alpina D3.

I had an E30 M3 for years & my wife used it a daily driver when i got a company car & she loved it & we both still miss it now.

Try the e46 m3, i have the cab with smg box & it is great, easy enough to use as a daily driver & never boring when you open the taps.

Think its a problem quite few people have faced what to get after an M3, when they sell there M3 they seem to pine for another one quite soon after & thats apart from the fact that your car will surely increase its value unlike the E36 cars right now.

as above try to hang onto it

Can you find a friend with a garage or put it into storage?

You've only just got that car to how you want it, would be a shame to get rid of her now. If you must rent a garage, shouldn't cost that much, that's what a friend of mine does for his 993RS and he's in London.

If you must sell the E30 it then what is wrong with an E39 M5. You say you park on the street so there is no garage size issue, and the parking sensors make it easy to fit into most places. Its only 44cm longer, and 12cm wider!
