Hi All,

has anyone else had a fault with the oil temperature gauge on the e46 M3? It seems to read the temp intermittently.

I have known this to fail on the E39 M5.
Start with the oil temp sender, failing that you may need a new instrument cluster.

I only say that as a chap with an E39 had intermittant oil temp failure.
Replacing the binnacle solved it but im sure he had the temp sensor and wire voltage tested first.

You are looking at about 800 pounds for a new cluster - I beleive.
