Manual or SMG?

Depending on colour and 'box, I'd say £17-20k?

If its immaculate id say around 18 to 19k. Its done about the right mileage for its age so wouldn't cal it a high miler plus if well looked after you would have a really good car there. People go on and on about sat nav so much, nowadays i dont think its worth the extra grand on price people love to talk about, you can get a better satnav from halfords for less than half of that price and alot of people are aware of that now. SMG would be key for me and 19's and the right colour and right colour interior. Offer 17.5 and see what he says but id be surprised if he let it go for that cheap, id definetly want around 18 to 19k if my car.

The reason people go on about Satnav on an M3 is that Glass's guide hits the value for £1500 if no Nav and Metallic Paint.

well guys the dude wants 19k for it BUT and its a big BUT too if i am to go by pistonhead opinions on previous threads: the running in service has not been done? the strange thing is the car has been sold and resold again at a main dealers with small warranty work done on it. i rang the main dealer and it definitley didnt come up as having done a running in service on their system. so firstly why would bmw auc sell a car without a running in service isnt that against their policy since no running in service negates the warranty? secondly (i cant believe im asking this since i have always thought i would walk away from a car with no running in service), does it matter since the warranty is finished anyway its 50k on the clock without a major mechanical problem i mean whats the worst that can happen? anyway the seller didnt know anything about checking for this when he bought the car and says there are ppl like him who arent aware of the running in service and will pay his asking price. the car is a minter otherwise what you think guys?

BMW can't sell a car without the running in service!! STRANGE
What does service book say?
Your second point is a fair one but a lot of M car owners are very anal about service history and you may well struggle to sell it.
